VIDEO: Arsenal Starlet Gedion Zelalem: Highights & Through-Ball Compilation
Arsenal’s pre-season has been pretty impressive so far with 17 goals scored and just 2 conceded in 3 games. While the likes of Giroud and Walcott may have been hitting the headlines for their goals, one youngster has caught the eye for his superb cameo displays.
The name Gedion Zelalem may not have been a familiar one to many until a couple of weeks ago but for those who’ve been watching the pre-season games, you’ll know exactly who he is now. Below we have individual highlights of the 16-year-old’s second half performance against Vietnam on Monday and the second video shows some of the stunning through-ball’s he’s played over the last 3 games.
He’s a superb talent and hopefully we see him getting some game-time in the Capital One Cup this season. Enjoy!

He’s a superb talent and bla bla bla. These are familiar utterance. In the autumn of 2007 after beating Wigan or some other team,Wenger was quoted as saying when my boys this and that. Suffice to say Velas,Denilson ,etc are nowhere to be seen 213.
FF 2013. I don’t know whether the present lot of kids will take the fw by storm. If I were a betting man, I would bet 30 to 70.The epl is a very physical one where the thugs are punished less severely after landing a career destroying tackle under the charade of going for the ball.
The latest is one Robin from Brazil. Skill wise he maybe on a different planet but thugs have been known to dish out bone crunching, bone breaking, leg injury tackles.
Furthermore the gunners playing style requires time and space. Deny the gunners of one or both these and they will begin to flounder.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal 2013-14 can be different from yesteryear.
