Video: Arsenal 3-1 AC Milan [5-1 agg]: Welbeck brace secures quarter final spot

Arsenal survived an early scare to secure a 3-1 comeback victory over AC Milan tonight and book our place in the last 8 with a 5-1 aggregate win.

We started slowly and paid the price as Milan got themselves back in the tie thanks to a 25-yarder from Calhanoglou that made it 1-0 in the 35th minute.

However, we were gifted an equaliser just minutes later and it was hugely controversial as Welbeck took a blatant dive under no contact from Rodriguez.

Danny took the resulting spot kick himself and rolled it home to make it 1-1 and 3-1 on aggregate before Xhaka made it 2-1 on the night with a long range effort – although the keeper had a nightmare!

We wrapped things up late on as Welbeck was on hand to head home from close range to make it 3-1 and 5-1 on aggregate to book our place in the quarter final draw.
