Video: West Ham 1-5 Arsenal: Sanchez bags stunning hat trick

By on December 3, 2016

It was the Alexis Sanchez show as our Chilean super star scored a hat-trick during a 5-1 battering of West Ham at the London Stadium tonight.

We dominated the entire first half and got the goal we deserved in the 24th minute and it was largely thanks to Francis Coquelin as the Frenchman won possession right in front of the West ham defence.

He fed Sanchez who unselfishly squared the ball for the unmarked Mesut Ozil who had the simplest of chances to tap home in to the empty net for 1-0.

We wasted a number of chances to double our lead but eventually got that all-important second goal as Sanchez turned his man with a sunning touch, burst in to the box and fired home from a tight angle.

The South American then found the bottom corner with another fine strike to make it 3-0 before Andy Carroll grabbed a consolation for the Hammers, heading home after Payet’s free kick came back off the bar.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain then made it 4-1 with a superb effort from outside the area before Sanchez wrapped-up his hat trick and he did it in some style, racing clear, fooling the keeper with a step-over before colly dinking it over him for 5-1.
