Wenger Offers Positive Update On Ramsey + Wilshere/Arteta Latest
Arsene Wenger has just been speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s game with Galatasaray and he’s given some positive news on Aaron Ramsey.
The midfielder is facing a spell on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring injury during our 1-1 draw with Tottenham on Saturday evening.
Reports on Monday suggested Rambo had suffered a grad 2 tear and would be sidelined for six weeks, meaning he’d miss our next eight games.
However, Arsene has given us some positive news today by saying that the 23-year-old will only be out for a maximum of four weeks, and he could even be fit again in three weeks if he recovers well.
This is excellent news and if Ramsey could manage to be back in just three weeks, it would mean he’d could miss just three games and be in with a chance of playing against Anderlecht on the 22nd October. If it’s four weeks then he’ll be in-line to return against Burnley on the 1st November.
The boss also confirmed that Mikel Arteta is also out for around three weeks after suffering a calf strain against Spurs, while he’s not risked Abou Diaby for the Galatasaray game as he doesn’t feel the Frenchman is ready.
However, Jack Wilshere is in the squad for tomorrow nights game but Arsene hasn’t decided whether to start him or not.
Wenger on Ramsey's absence: "To be generous with time, 4 weeks. If all goes well, three. Arteta is the same, maybe a bit quicker."

Wenger on Wilshere: "He is in the squad. Will I start him or not? I don't know, we have to be cautious. I left Diaby out as he isn't ready."
