Arsenal in ‘regular contact’ to sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge
Arsenal are in ‘regular contact’ with the entourage of Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis over his potential transfer to the Emirates Stadium, according to Fabrizio Romano.
After ending their 22-year wait for a Premier League crown, Arsenal are expected to be among the busiest clubs in this summer’s transfer window to provide Mikel Arteta with an even stronger squad as they aim to retain their status as champions next season.
Several players across a variety of positions have been linked with moves to the Emirates. In attack, reports in recent weeks have linked Arsenal to Brugge’s Tzolis, unsurprisingly given his form.
The left winger has developed into one of the most prolific attacking players in both the Belgian Pro League and European football.
The 2025/26 campaign proved to be his most productive in the top flight, registering 22 goal involvements in the domestic competition and setting a new career-best tally of 51 goal contributions across all competitions.
Last month, Arsenal Station, citing Fabrizio Romano, revealed that Arsenal have made contact over a deal to sign Tzolis.
Prolific forward
Following a brief period of quiet over the transfer, the football transfer expert has now provided an update on the move.
According to Romano, Arsenal are in regular contact with the 24-year-old’s entourage over his potential transfer to the Emirates Stadium.
On why the deal is not wrapped up yet, Romano adds that the Gunners are waiting for Leandro Trossard to decide on his future, with Turkish side Besiktas showing keen interest in his signature.
Should Trossard depart, agreeing personal terms with Tzolis may not be an issue, as the transfer expert claims that the Greek international wants to join Arsenal this summer.
In a separate report last week, the Sun revealed that the Premier League champions are close to agreeing to sign Tzolis for around £35m, with the prolific forward awaiting the final green light to travel to London for contractual and medical formalities.
Given how much of Arsenal’s attacking output has flowed through the right side courtesy of Bukayo Saka’s influence, there’s confidence that the Greek winger could offer similar productivity and potentially even greater goalscoring output operating from the left, having netted at least 20 goals in each of his last three campaigns.
