Video: Fulham 1-5 Arsenal: Lacazette scores brace as Gunners run riot
Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang both scored twice as Arsenal thrashed Fulham 5-1 at Craven Cottage this afternoon.
Fulham started well but Arsenal managed to grab the opening goal as good work down the left side from Alex Iwobi and Nacho Monreal led to Alexandre Lacazette firing home in the 30th minute.
We took control of the game but wasted a couple of great chances to make it 2-0 and predictably we were made the pay as Fulham grabbed an equaliser just before half time. Monreal gifted them possession and it resulted in Andre Schurrle chipping over Bernd Leno for 1-1.
We came flying out the blocks after the break and scored a fine goal in the 49th minute as Lacazette latched on to Danny Welbeck’s flick-on before lashing in to the bottom corner from 18 yards.
As Fulham pressed for another equaliser, Arsenal broke to score a stunning third midway through the second period. Bellerin, Lacazette and Mkhitaryan were all involved before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang crossed for Aaron Ramsey to score with a back heel flick just 38 seconds after coming off the bench.
We wrapped up our ninth consecutive win in all competitions in the 79th minute when Aubameyang got himself on the score-sheet with a fine finish after a Bellerin cross before the Gabon international added a fifth late on to secure a superb 5-1 victory.
Here are the goals:
