[Player Ratings] Arsenal 0-3 Man City: Mustafi & Xhaka shocking for poor Gunners

Arsenal put-in a woeful performance as Manchester City lifted the Carabao Cup with a comfortable 3-0 victory at Wembley this evening.

A shocking mistake from Mustafi allowed Aguero to race clear and open the scoring before Kompany made it 2-0 shortly after half-time. Silva fired home a third mid-way through the second half as City eased to the cup final win.

Here are my ratings:

Ospina  5/10 | Made Augero’s decision easy for him by being caught in no-mans land for the opener. Another costly mistake. Poor distribution too.

Monreal  5/10 | Off injured in the first half with a back injury. Was missed down the left.

Mustafi  2/10 | Shocking defending for the Aguero opener. HAS to be goal side and made no effort to win the header. WTF was he thinking?! Never going to be good enough as he has the brain of a 3-year-old.

Koscielny  5/10 | No leadership from Kos and he just doesn’t look like the same player anymore as his form has dropped alarmingly this season.

Chambers  5/10 | Surprised he started but was having a decent game until he was turned way too easily for Silva’s goal. Another reminder he’s not good enough.

Bellerin  6/10 | Was a willing runner down the right flank but had no answer for the superior City side.

Xhaka  4/10 | Another shocking performance. Lost possession countless times and the game seemed to pass him by. Set-pieces were abysmal.

Wilshere  6/10 | At least Jack showed a bit of heart and fight. Had a few moments of quality with his passing and inter-play but wasn’t enough.

Ramsey  5/10 | Didn’t look match fit so couldn’t be our Wembley hero this time.

Ozil  5/10 | Hugely disappointing display from our playmaker. Just couldn’t influence the game at all.

Aubameyang  5/10 | Missed a great chance to open the scoring at 0-0 but we just didn’t use his pace. I counted at least 3 times we caught City’s defence high up the pitch and we had the chance to release Auba but chose to play a sideways pass instead. Infuriating.

Subs:

Kolasinac  5/10 | A few heavy touches when well placed in the final third.

Welbeck  5/10 | Added a bit of drive in attack but didn’t have the quality to do anything of note.

WATCH THE GOALS AS ARSENAL GOT THRASHED 3-0 BY MAN CITY

This was a shocking performance from Arsenal and the worst part is City didn’t even have to play that well to beat us 3-0. The only man who has to take responsibility is Wenger and he should NOT be our manager next season. Let’s see if the board have the guts to sack him this summer.
