Arsenal monitor Greek goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis
Arsenal have been linked with a potential move for Olympiacos goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis, according to reports from Area Napoli.
The 23-year-old shot-stopper could be on Mikel Arteta’s radar as the club looks to strengthen their goalkeeping department this summer.
Tzolakis initially joined Olympiacos’ youth academy in 2018 and earned promotion to the first team just a year later.
Despite being part of the first-team squad, he only began playing regularly at the start of last season.
Since then, he has played 118 matches for the Greek club, keeping 57 clean sheets and conceding 96 goals.
Liverpool are also said to be monitoring the Greece international in recent months alongside Arsenal, as per the report. Other clubs have expressed interest as well, including Bayern Munich and Galatasaray.
Italian sides are following him closely, with Antonio Conte’s team reportedly keeping tabs on his progress. AS Roma and Juventus have also shown interest, though Tzolakis is reportedly more inclined to move to Serie A.
The player’s preference may not make a transfer simple, as several other clubs are competing for his signature.
Olympiacos are reportedly willing to sell during the summer window and are asking for no less than £17.5m.
Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis also owns Olympiacos and hopes to profit from the sale.
According to Area Napoli, Marinakis believes he can sell Tzolakis to a Premier League side for more than the asking price.
Top European clubs interested
Currently, Liverpool and Arsenal are only keeping watch and have not made formal offers yet.
The goalkeeper’s growing reputation has made him a target across Europe, especially in England and Italy.
Tzolakis’ rise has been steady, reflecting his commitment and performances since becoming a regular starter.
Adding him would provide Premier League clubs with a reliable option between the sticks.
His age and experience make him an appealing option for teams seeking long-term stability in goal.
It remains uncertain which club will secure his signature, with competition from both England and Italy.
Arsenal may see him as a strategic addition, strengthening their squad for the coming seasons.
Monitoring the young keeper shows the club’s intent to invest in promising talents from across Europe.
With summer approaching, the race to sign Tzolakis could intensify, potentially sparking a bidding war.
