Arsenal have the chance to open-up a nine-point gap at the top of the table with a win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this evening.

With Manchester City losing away to Manchester United this afternoon and Aston Villa not playing until Sunday, we have the perfect opportunity to extend our lead in the title race.

Mikel Arteta has made some changes from the side that beat Chelsea 3-2 in the first leg of our Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday. David Raya is recalled to start between the sticks while Ben White keeps his place at right-back.

Jurrien Timber lines-up on the left side of Arsenal’s back four so Myles Lewis-Skelly has to settle for a place on the bench. William Saliba starts alongside Gabriel Magalhaes in the middle of defence while Cristhian Mosquera is back on the bench after returning to fitness.

Martin Zubimendi anchors the midfield with Declan Rice starting once again. Martin Odegaard captains Arsenal so Eberechi Eze and Mikel Merino have to make do with places among the substitutes.

Bukayo Saka is given a rest as he drops to the bench with Noni Madueke coming in on the right flank. Gabriel Martinelli is also recalled in place of Leandro Trossard on the left wing for Arsenal.

Viktor Gyokeres leads the line up front and he’ll be hoping to build on his goal against Chelsea last time out. Gabriel Jesus is on the bench along with Kai Havertz so we have plenty of attacking options to call upon if needed.

These are the teams:
