Predicted Arsenal line-up against AFC Bournemouth
Arsenal are set to travel to Vitality Stadium to take on AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
After thrashing title rival Aston Villa 4-1 in midweek, the Gunners currently have a four-point lead at the top of the table with Manchester City second with 41 points from 19 matches.
On the other hand, the Cherries will be coming into this game off the back of a 2-2 draw against Chelsea. Following this result, the Blues have decided to part ways with Enzo Maresca.
Bournemouth haven’t won in their last 10 consecutive matches, drawing five times. As a result, they are languishing in the bottom half of the table despite enjoying a promising start this term.
Team news
Riccardo Calafiori and Cristhian Mosquera remain sidelined due to their respective injuries tonight. Declan Rice was out injured in midweek and is in doubt for this encounter.
After remaining sidelined over the last few months owing to a knee issue, Kai Havertz was named in the matchday squad vs Aston Villa and could get some game time.
Ben White was also out injured over the last few weeks but returned in the last game and should be ready to be involved vs Andoni Iraola’s side.
Predicted line-up
Mikel Arteta is unlikely to make many changes to his starting line-up from midweek, with David Raya set to keep hold of his place in goal. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are likely to be the centre-back pairing for Arsenal.
After recovering from his muscular problem, Gabriel started his first game vs Aston Villa and scored the opener from a set-piece.
Jurrien Timber and Piero Hincapié are expected to be the two fullbacks, meaning White and Myles Lewis-Skelly could feature as substitutes if needed.
If Rice can’t recover in time, Mikel Merino may commence in the engine room alongside Martin Zubimendi, with Martin Odegaard likely to be the creative midfielder for Arsenal.
Bukayo Saka would be on the right flank, and Leandro Trossard should be on the opposite side after displaying an excellent performance last time out.
Gabriel Jesus managed to put his name on the scoresheet vs the Villans after coming on as a substitute and could get the nod to start ahead of Viktor Gyokeres.
Expected Arsenal line-up vs Bournemouth
Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Hincapié; Zubimendi, Merino, Odegaard; Saka, Jesus, Trossard
