Arsenal considering Raphinha transfer move

Barcelona star Raphinha has once again been linked with a potential move to Arsenal, according to reports from journalist Graeme Bailey via Arsenal Insider.

The Gunners made several attacking additions during the previous summer, bringing in Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke to strengthen their wide options, while striker Viktor Gyokeres also arrived.

Both Madueke and Eze have quickly impressed, yet reports suggest Arsenal are still on the lookout for a natural left winger.

Bailey revealed that Raphinha remains a name of interest for Arsenal, as the Brazilian has been repeatedly linked with the North London club in previous transfer windows.

The journalist also mentioned that Arsenal could explore other attacking options such as Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, Athletic Club’s Nico Williams, and Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo.

I still think Arsenal will in 2026, I think they will sign a new left winger,” Bailey said.

“I do. Obviously, Rodrygo is somebody we looked at before, and I think Rodrygo is going to be on the radar again. His game time at Real has been limited; he started one game in La Liga.”

By the same token, I think we’ll probably talk about Nico Williams again.

We’ll probably talk about Raphinha again, and we’ll talk about [Antoine] Semenyo.

There’s nobody better than him in the Premier League at the moment. Could you see Semenyo on the left in Arsenal’s team? I could.”

Raphinha’s incredible form for Barcelona

Raphinha enjoyed a standout 2024/25 campaign with Barcelona, finishing fifth in the Ballon d’Or rankings.

The winger produced an exceptional season, scoring 34 goals and providing 26 assists across all competitions for the Catalan giants.

His performances also earned him the award for La Liga’s best player of the season.

The Brazilian has carried that same form into the new campaign under manager Hansi Flick.

So far, he has recorded three goals and two assists in just six La Liga appearances.

Transfermarkt currently values Raphinha at around £78 million, so Arsenal would need to pay big money to get a deal done.

With his remarkable form and attacking quality, a move to Arsenal could significantly strengthen Mikel Arteta’s squad, especially on the left flank.

If Arsenal decide to pursue him, Raphinha’s experience and creativity could offer a major boost to their attacking depth in the coming seasons.
