Arsenal add Nicolas Jackson to summer striker list

By on June 29, 2025

Arsenal are reportedly considering Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson as one of their options for the summer transfer window.

According to transfer expert Duncan Castles on the Transfer Podcast, the Gunners have added the Senegal international to their growing list of striker targets.

Manager Mikel Arteta is pushing for the addition of a new striker as he looks to improve his squad ahead of next season.

Arsenal are already in talks with Sporting CP for Viktor Gyokeres and with RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko. Both forwards have been closely followed by the club in recent months.

After finishing second in the Premier League for a third straight season, Arsenal want to strengthen key positions in order to finally win a major trophy.

Sporting director Andrea Berta has been working to bring in top-quality players who can help push the team to the next level.

According to Castles, Jackson is one of the options under consideration, though there has been no advanced move yet.

The Gunners are exploring several striker profiles, and the 24-year-old Chelsea forward has emerged as a potential target.

Chelsea Striker Could Be Allowed to Leave

Nicolas Jackson joined Chelsea in 2023 from Villarreal for a reported fee of £31.8 million and is now valued at around £42m by Transfermarkt.

Since arriving at Stamford Bridge, the forward has scored 30 goals in 80 matches across all competitions.

Despite those numbers, the Senegalese striker has received criticism for his inconsistent performances in front of goal.

Chelsea have already made a move in the transfer market by signing Liam Delap from Ipswich Town in a £30 million deal.

That signing could open the door for Jackson to leave the club this summer, as Chelsea aim to reshape their attack.

With Arsenal monitoring his situation, a transfer could become more likely if the Gunners decide to make an official approach.

At the moment, Jackson remains only an option, but Arsenal are keeping close watch as they weigh their striker choices.

The coming weeks will be key as Arsenal continue to work on their plans and decide who to bring in to lead the line.
