Sesko drops big Arsenal hint after Instagram move
Benjamin Šeško has dropped a major hint over a possible summer move to Arsenal.
The 22-year-old striker recently followed the club on Instagram, which has sparked fresh talks about his next move.
Mikel Arteta is a known admirer of Šeško and is eager to sign a new striker ahead of the new season.
The Slovenian has been on Arsenal’s radar for months. Several reports claim the Gunners are looking at either Šeško or Viktor Gyökeres.
Šeško scored 21 goals and provided six assists for RB Leipzig last season. He was a standout player for the German side.
He has been viewed as one of the club’s key targets this summer. Sources close to the deal suggest Arsenal are pushing to finalise talks.
Why Arteta sees Šeško as ideal for his team
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Arsenal’s interest and the growing talks around Šeško’s future.
The striker is valued at around £60 million on Transfermarkt. However, Leipzig are said to want more before letting him leave.
Arsenal want to strengthen their attack as they aim for major honours under Arteta. A new striker remains high on their list.
Šeško has been compared to Erling Haaland for his style and physical traits. He is strong, quick and very direct in his play.
The Slovenian can play with both feet and is also very good in the air. He offers a complete skill set for a modern striker.
He is known for making smart runs behind defences and can also hold up the ball when needed.
His ability to link up with teammates and stretch the pitch adds extra value to his game.
Arteta wants a player who can lead the line in both counter attacks and slow build-up play. Šeško fits that role well.
He is also just 22, meaning he has plenty of time to grow and improve under the right manager.
Arsenal see him as someone who can help them challenge at the top for years to come.
