Arsenal will be travelling to King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Following a few disappointing results, Arsenal returned to winning ways after beating Aston Villa 4-2 last weekend. The Gunners found themselves trailing twice but they showed resilience and in the end, came away with all three points from Villa Park.

The north London club are only two points ahead of Manchester City so they can’t afford to come away with anything less than victory from the King Power tomorrow in order to keep hold of the league leader status.

Meanwhile, Leicester have been in good form lately as they had won three consecutive games in all competitions before last weekend’s defeat against Manchester United. However, despite the loss, they were comprehensively the better team in the first half. So, tomorrow’s game won’t be a formality for Arsenal.

Expected Arsenal lineup

Mikel Arteta is unlikely to make any changes to his starting eleven that defeated Villa last weekend. So, Aaron Ramsdale is set to continue between the sticks and Matt Turner will commence on the bench.

William Saliba will keep hold of his place at the heart of Arsenal’s defence alongside Gabriel Magalhaes. Meaning Jakob Kiwior and Rob Holding are likely to be among the substitutes.

Ben White should start in the right-back position once again and Oleksandr Zinchenko is expected to continue on the opposite side. So, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney are set to be on the bench.

Thomas Partey – valued at around £33m by Transfermarkt – is likely to return to the matchday squad after recovering from his injury, but Jorginho could keep hold of his place in the holding midfield position tomorrow after impressing at Villa Park last weekend. Arteta won’t want to take any risks with Partey by rushing him back.

Granit Xhaka will start alongside the Italian in the engine room and Martin Odegaard is likely to be in the more advanced midfield position. So, Fabio Vieira would once again be on the Arsenal bench.

Leandro Trossard could continue on the left flank, while Bukayo Saka will be on the right side and in between the two wide men Eddie Nketiah is set to complete the front three for Arsenal. So, Gabriel Martinelli is expected to be involved as a substitute despite scoring off the bench last time out.

Gabriel Jesus is progressing well after undergoing knee surgery, but he will remain sidelined tomorrow while Emile Smith Rowe will be among the subs.
