Arsenal desperately need to get back to winning ways when we take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane this evening.

Gabriel Martinelli is finally given a start as he lines-up in attack along with Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe – who’s rewarded for his goal off the bench on Thursday night.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang misses the game with ‘flu’ while Emile Smith Rowe hasn’t travelled due to an ankle injury and Martin Odegaard has failed to prove his fitness due to an ankle problem. Therefore, Dani Ceballos starts along with Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey.

Calum Chambers is fit to return at right-back with Hector Bellerin dropping out and it appears Bukayo Saka will start at left-back with Cedric Soares making way.

Gabriel also drops to the Arsenal bench with Pablo Mari recalled to start alongside Rob Holding in defence. Willian is on the bench along with Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah.

It’s an interesting side but I think Arsenal are going to miss the energy and creativity of Smith Rowe and Odegaard. Hopefully Martinelli can take his chance but we have very few top class attacking options from the bench if Arteta needs to freshen things up – which is a concern.

These are the line-ups:

Arsenal

Leno, Chambers, Holding, Mari, Saka, Ceballos, Xhaka, Partey, Pepe, Lacazette, Martinelli

Subs: Bellerin, Gabriel, Willian, Cedric, Nelson, Elneny, Nketiah, Ryan, Azeez

Sheffield United

Ramsdale, Egan, Ampadu, Stevens, Baldock, Fleck, Lundstram, Norwood, Osborn, Burke, McGoldrick

Subs: McBurnie, Mousset, Lowe, Jagielka, Foderingham, Bogle, Brewster, Bryan, Ndiaye
