Video: Arsenal 4-1 Fulham: Aubameyang among the goals as Gunners get back on track
Arsenal got back to winning ways and started 2019 on a positive note after easing to a 4-1 victory over Fulham at the Emirates this afternoon.
We started very poorly and should have gone behind but Ryan Sessegnon wasted two excellent chances for Fulham during the early stages of the game.
Typically, it was Arsenal who broke the deadlock midway through the first half when Granit Xhaka collected an Alex Iwobi cross and the Swiss international did well to cooly finish to make it 1-0 in the 25th minute.
We had chances to double our lead before the break but had to wait until the 55th minute before making it 2-0. A superb move involving Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alex Iwobi resulted in Sead Kolasinac cutting it back for Alexandre Lacazette who made no mistake.
Fulham pulled one back in the 70th minute when Kamara tapped home at the far post from a Sessegnon cross. It was shocking defending again but we could have had a free-kick in the build-up as Lucas Torreira was barged off the ball.
However, Arsenal restored their two-goal cushion in the 79th minute when Aaron Ramsey found the top corner with a fine effort and Aubameyang wrapped-up the three points with a deflected strike minutes later.
Here are the goals:
