Video: Arsenal 3-1 West Ham: Welbeck seals comeback win for Gunners

By on August 25, 2018

Arsenal came from behind to secure a much-needed 3-1 victory over West Ham at the Emirates this afternoon as Unai Emery got his first win on the board.

We started poorly and fell behind in the 26th minute when Arautovic drove in to the bottom corner from the edge of the area after more sloppy defending from Arsenal.

However, it didn’t take long for us to level things up as Hector Bellerin found Nacho Monreal at the back post and the left-back cooly fired home to make it 1-1 in the 30th minute.

We rode our luck at times as West Ham threatened to re-take the lead in the second half but we managed to grab a vital second goal ourselves as Issa Diop put through his own net with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang waiting to pounce in the 70th minute.

West Ham pushed for a late equaliser but we wrapped things up in stoppage time as substitute Danny Welbeck fired home from close range after good work from Bellerin.
