Arsenal confirmed that Aaron Ramsey was forced to miss our hugely disappointing 1-0 defeat to Tottenham at Wembley due to a minor groin injury.

Ramsey only recently returned from a hamstring injury that kept him out for over a month after picking up the problem during our draw at Southampton in mid-December.

The Welsh international looked to be getting back to his best after scoring a superb hat-trick during our 5-1 victory over Everton at the Emirates last weekend.

Rambo was expected to play a key role against Tottenham this afternoon and he was photographed taking part in full training at London Colney on Friday afternoon.

So it was a shock when his name was omitted from the match-day squad when the teams were announced an hour before kick off earlier today and it was soon revealed that Ramsey has picked up a fresh injury.

The official Arsenal twitter account confirmed that the 27-year-old was ruled out of the Spurs games with a minor groin problem:

Thankfully it doesn’t sound too serious so hopefully Ramsey will be fit again soon – although it remains to be seen whether he’ll be available for Thursday’s Europa League first leg against Ostersunds.

I thought Rambo was sorely missed today as we were overrun by Dembele at times in the middle of the park and Aaron’s athleticism would have been useful in winning the midfield battle.

Let’s wait for an update on how serious the problem is but fingers crossed Ramsey is fit for the League Cup final against Man City at the end of the month.

Lets hope he can get well fast.Against Spurs, the gunners were overrun.
I have been saying for years Wengers style is easily stifled by a massed md and massed defence
Rf used to flood the md and hit on the break. Similarly Chelsea and others did the same;let the gunners overpass /overplay .That’s why he is bottom of the top six.
That’s why the gunners still try to pass in a crowded penalty area and
    couldn’t shoot let alone score.
Until this changes the gunners will be left in the wilderness.
