Video: Stoke 1-4 Arsenal: Giroud brace boosts top four hopes
Arsenal got right in the mix for the top four after beating Stoke City 4-1 at the Bet365 Stadium this evening.
We dominated possession from the outset and after missing a couple of decent chances we eventually opened the scoring shortly before the break.
Some nice build-up play involving Xhaka and Coquelin led to Bellerin squaring for Giroud who tapped home from close range to make it 0-1.
If the first goal was simple the second was world class as Sanchez found Ozil with a stunning pass and the German cooly chipped over Butland for 2-1 in the 55th minute.
Stoke pulled one back 10 minutes later and it was a dirty goal as Crouch palmed the ball in at the near post but we restored our two-goal cushion minutes later when Sanchez fired home in to the bottom corner.
We wrapped up an impressive 4-1 win when Ramsey teed-up Giroud to sweep home to secure a vital three points which sees us close the gap on Liverpool to just one point.
