[Video] Alexis Sanchez scores stunning volley as Chile beat Panama

By on June 15, 2016

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez was in excellent form last night as he scored twice to help Chile progress from the group stages of the Copa America with a 4-2 victory over Panama.

After going a goal down early on thanks to an error from goalkeeper Bravo, Chile levelled through Eduardo Vargas before the Hoffenheim forward made it 2-1 with a header shortly before half-time.

Then came Alexis with the Arsenal attacker slamming home a stunning volley to make it 3-1 shortly after the break and while Panama pulled one back, Sanchez sealed the 4-2 win with a late header.

It’s always nice to see Sanchez doing well for his country but on a personal level, I’d like to see Chile crash out in the knockout stages of the Copa America as we need Alexis fresh for the start of the season.

Last summers Copa had a huge affect on the 27-year-old’s early season form as he didn’t have a pre-season so we don’t need that again this time around.

Anyway, watch all the goals including Sanchez’s stunning volley here:
