Video: Arsenal 2-1 Everton: Giroud on target again as we go top
Arsenal moved to the top of the Premier League table after grinding out a 2-1 victory over Everton at the Emirates tonight.
We opened the scoring midway through the first half when Ozil’s superb ball was glanced home by Giroud for 1-0.
Koscielny headed home to double our advantage just two minutes later after another excellent free-kick from Cazorla.
Everton pulled one back in fortuitous circumstances just before the break when Barkley’s effort deflected off Gabriel and into the net for 2-1.
The second half was end-to-end stuff with Ozil hitting the post while Cech showed his class yet again with a late save but it ended 2-1 and we go top of the league ahead of the Manchester derby tomorrow.
