[Photos] Arsenal Boss Snapped In ‘Meeting’ Amid £66m Swoop Reports

By on September 1, 2015

Deadline day has finally arrived and as you’d expect there is plenty of gossip circulating involving Arsenal.

The big story developing centers around Edinson Cavani and Adrien Rabiot with several media outlets claiming Arsene Wenger has flown to France to hold talks over a sensational double swoop for the Paris Saint-Germain duo.

The Daily Star say Arsene is prepared to pay £66m to land the pair, with £50m of that set aside for Cavani and the remaining £16m on Rabiot, but they acknowledge that the deals are going to be extremely difficult to pull off at this late stage.

The Daily Mail also run a similar report along with photo’s that have been doing the rounds on Twitter that appear to show Arsene at an airport, on board a plane to Paris and in a meeting in a Pairs hotel.

Some have suggested the image of Arsene in the hotel shows him with Cavani, but I personally think the person alongside the boss has longer hair than the Uruguayan striker, so who knows who it is. You can see all the photos at the bottom of the article.

So it seems Arsene is in Paris and all the papers think he’s there to hold talks over Cavani and Rabiot.  Obviously I’d love to see us sign them today but it will take a monumental effort to get the deals done in time. We’ve left it too late and I just don’t see how we’re going to bring in the players we need before 6pm.

I suppose we just need to keep the faith and hope Arsene is able to pull something out the bag. Cavani/Rabiot would be superb business but we need to have back-ups in mind in-case we can’t get deals agreed with PSG.

It’s going to be a day full of rumour and gossip, so I’ll my best to keep you up-to-date with everything that’s going on. Stay tuned…..

People enjoy this kind of news about transfer, but they cannot find the actual truth of what is happening on last transfer deadline.

    Same old same old arsenal.
Pull off some deals of players that aren’t even average. Park chu Young,Santos, etc
We need a striker that has dribbling ability like Lucas moura, aubameyang and with speed to.
A striker that can’t even light ligue1,am not so convinced.
Rabiot could be potential but where will he fit in/who will he replace in the starting 11?
Cech probably thinking, why on earth did I come to vision less club?
Give Campbell a chance, get rid of sanogo, scezsny, and all other fringe players and win the league

Have been supporting arsenal for long now and just the same stories, win the league this season
