Ratings: Gabriel & Cazorla Impress As Arsenal Beat Newcastle 1-0
Arsenal needed an own goal from Fabricio Coloccini to beat Newcastle United 1-0 at St James’ Park this afternoon.
Here are my ratings
Cech – 6/10 – Didn’t have a lot to do.
Bellerin – 6/10 – Fairly easy game for the youngster but he could have offered more going forwards.
Koscielny – 6.5/10 – Comfortable afternoon for Kos. No real threat offered by the hosts.
Gabriel – 7.5/10 – I thought he was excellent. Didn’t put a foot wrong and looked at home alongside Koscielny.
Monreal – 6/10 – Steady performance again. Dealt with the threat of Sissoko well enough.
Coquelin – 7/10 – Solid game from Le Coq. Was given some rough treatment from the hosts though.
Cazorla – 7.5/10 – Made everything tick in the middle of the park.
Ramsey – 7/10 – Back in the middle and made some clever runs behind the defence. Worked his socks off too.
The Ox – 6/10 – It was his shot that let to the winning goal but otherwise he didn’t do a lot to be honest. Disappointing.
Sanchez – 7.5/10 – Always a danger and went close to scoring a couple of times, but he still looks like he’s not 100% yet.
Walcott – 5/10 – Struggled up front against a deep Newcastle defence. Wasted two good chances too.
Subs:
Giroud – 5/10 – Spurned a great chance to make it 2-0 at the death.

Ozil is not the right man for Arsenal, he’s a luxury for the Premier league which requires high energy and physical strength as well as the customary skill. Ozil falls woefully short on two of these requirements.
Wenger’s arrogance will not let himself drop Ozil.
Until then Arsenal will suffer

John! Ozil was the missing link in yesterday game if Ozil had played we would ve score more goal if you are a good game watcher if Wenger sign a good striker you will see the best of Ozil.

Glad I am not alone in seeing Ozil would have had a field day yesterday, had he been fit to play. Fans fail to see his value beyond the expectation of a silky and physical German midfielder.
