Cazorla Out, Walcott Starts: The Arsenal XI That Should Face Swansea
Arsenal will look to continue their fine run of form when we take on Swansea at the Emirates on Monday night. This is the side I think Arsene Wenger should go with…..
Goalkeeper: Ospina
Ospina is now our established No.1 as Szczesny hasn’t done enough to reclaim the gloves so the Colombian should continue between the sticks tomorrow.
Defence: Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs
Bellerin has been outstanding since coming into the side and with Debuchy still out with a hamstring, the Spaniard will once again start at right-back.
Arsene has hinted he’s finally ready to make some changes to the starting eleven after naming an unchanged line-up for the last four games and that could see Gibbs come in for Monreal at left-back.
Gabriel is another who is pushing for a recall but I’d stick with Mertesacker and Koscielny in the middle of defence.
Midfield: Ramsey, Coquelin
Perhaps controversial but I’d give Cazorla a breather. Ramsey has done well enough on the right-wing but he’s much more influential in the middle so as long as he passes his late fitness test, I’d go with him alongside Coquelin tomorrow night.
Attack: Walcott, Ozil, Sanchez, Giroud
With Ramsey in the middle I’d give Walcott a rare start on the right-wing. His exclusion from the first team since recovering from injury has been brutal by Arsene Wenger and I think he’s been harshly treated. Time to give him a run of games.
Obviously Ozil and Sanchez should keep their places and with Welbeck still likely to be out, Giroud will once again lead the line up front.
So this is how my team would line-up:
Not too many changes and thanks to the depth of our squad, the quality of the team won’t suffer too much. Hopefully we can secure the three points and keep the pressure on Man City.
COYG!
