Arsene Wenger has given a full injury update including the latest on Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Abou Diaby, Mikel Arteta and Serge Gnabry.

The boss confirmed that Jack Wilshere is in the squad for tomorrow’s clash with Galatasaray but he hasn’t decided whether to start him as the 22-year-old was initially a doubt after twisting his ankle against Tottenham.

If Jack is left on the bench it will be interesting to see who partners Mathieu Flamini in midfield as Arsene has also confirmed that Aaron Ramsey will be out for between three and four weeks with a hamstring strain.

Mikel Arteta is also expected to be out for around three weeks with a calf problem while Arsene decided not to include Abou Diaby in the squad as he’s not match fit yet, so there doesn’t appear to be too many options available to him for the central midfield area.

There was some positive news in his injury update as Theo Walcott is set to finally return to full training next week after almost 10 months out with a knee injury. The winger will be joined by Serge Gnabry  in returning to action with the German yet to feature this season because of his own knee problem.

This is what Arsene told Arsenal.com:

on the team news…

Jack Wilshere is in the squad for tomorrow. Will I start him? I don’t know yet but he’s in the squad.

on other injuries…

I left Abou Diaby out as well because he’s not completely there yet. We lost Mikel Arteta (calf) and Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) in our last game and it could have been three because Wilshere was a doubt for a long time but he recovered quite well.

on the Ramsey injury…

To be generous with time, let’s say four weeks. If all goes well, three. After the international break hopefully he will not be far away. Sometimes the international break is welcome! It is the same for Arteta, [he will come back] a bit quicker maybe.

on Theo Walcott…

Walcott is joining in full training next week. It’s very good news. Serge Gnabry as well. Theo’s return is a big thing for us. Let’s not forget that he got injured on January 1 and we are now in October. That’s 10 months and we had to wait for a long time.

So it looks like we should have several players available for selection after the upcoming international break. Sadly the likes of Walcott, Ramsey and Arteta will all miss the Galatasaray and Chelsea games but they could be back in contention when we take on Hull on the 18th October.

Given Diaby was the only player to show up against Southampton, I’d say he’s fit enough. If he only plays an hour, it’ll be a big help!
