Arsenal ‘Hold Formal Talks’ Over THIRD Major Signing
It seems Arsenal are closing in on a sensational £46m triple swoop as reports today claim that we are in talks with Queens Park Rangers over an £8m for Loic Remy.
A £38m double deal for Alexis Sanchez and Mathieu Debuchy has already been agreed with Barcelona and Newcastle, and both transfer expected to be announced within the next 24 hours.
However, it looks like the spending is set to continue with the Mirror reporting that the club are also in formal talks with QPR over an £8m deal for striker Loic Remy.
Remy has been linked with a move to the Emirates for some time and has made no secret of his desire to play for a Champions League club next season.
Speculation intensified that he could be heading to north London when he attended our final home game against West Brom last season and judging by the Mirror’s report, the Frenchman could now be set to complete a switch this summer.
Remy scored an impressive 14 goals in 26 games on loan at Newcastle last season and I think he’d be an excellent addition as he’d give us another option in attack. The 27-year-old can play through the middle or out wide, and has bags of pace which is obviously something we need to add to the squad, so here’s hoping we can get this triple swoop over the line soon.
If we can then add a powerhouse defensive midfielder and a back-up goalkeeper, as well as a replacement for Vermaelen if he leaves, then we’ll be in excellent shape heading into next season.

It is a strange piece. With Sanchez coming and Joel Campbell coming back, he is not in need.
Sure 8 million is a good buy and the club can always sell him afterwards. Still
Let’s have a list
To fill the front three spaces
Giroud, Walcott and Sanchez are first team. Santi Cazorla, OX, Poldi, Campbell, Sanago are second choices and Wilshere can start one of the flanks. And then there are young guys coming up the ranks.
Even if Sanago/ Campbell goes on lone, there are plenty of players already unless there is really something with the rumor about Poldi and Cazorla, it makes no sense to have Remy other than he is an absolute bargain.

You don’t win title’s without good squad depth. Look at City, they have 4 world class or nearly world class strikers, we need Campbell for Cup/Lower league matches as well as being there to fill in if there are injury or fitness problems

Another MAJOR signing? Where has there been ANY major signing? Show me! I don’t see a right back or a striker signed on Arsenal official ANYWHERE!! Higuain was also “about to be announced” last summer. There were reports, rumors and even pictures of him in London. And tell me, where does he score his goals? Certainly not in a red shirt in London. So stop writing crap about “another MAJOR signings” as there has bee NONE yet! The only signings Arsenal have made are of youth players signing pro deals. As true Arsenal fans, we don’t expect and accept signings until they are on a photo shoot in an Arsenal jersey saying “I’m a gunner” into a camera. We all remember Mata, Hazard and the mentioned Higuain, who the papers all made out to be “as good as ready” for the club. Stop believing crap this sucked writes and don’t get your hopes up before anyone is actually signed.
