Arsene Wenger Skips French TV Duties To Hold Talks With Agents

By on June 23, 2014

French-based journalist Francois Piraux has revealed that Arsene Wenger ditched his duties with television station TF1 this evening because he was holding talks with agents.

Arsene has been out in Brazil working with French TV as a pundit and commentator during the World Cup, which hasn’t gone down too well with some Arsenal fans who feel he should be concentrating on trying to bring in new players to the club.

Well it appears the boss is still trying to do just that with reporter Francois Piraux claiming on his Twitter account that Arsene wasn’t working with TF1 for tonight’s final Group A matches as he was meeting with agents about potential signings.

Obviously fans will now be speculating on who’s agent Arsene was meeting with and the likely candidates will be striker Mario Balotelli, right-back Serge Aurier and winger Juan Cuadrado – with the trio all strongly linked with a move to the Emirates in recent weeks.

I’m sure things will become a lot clearer over the course of the next few days and weeks, but at least fans know that Arsene is also using his time out in Brazil to work on transfers and not just having an extended holiday.

Arsenal needs at least four good quality additions to the team to be a serious contender next season. goal keeper, right fullback, winger and a better striker. wenger should act now

“but I’d have my doubts about spending £28m on Cuadrado if I’m honest. The Colombian looks a decent talent, but if we’re going to bring in a winger this summer I think there are better options available.”

We all want AW to sign new players to strengthen the squad, yet we complain about the cost. By the way who are the “better options” that will cost less.

Other clubs are busy sorting out their weak areas last season while wenger nd the board are busy talking to the agents over no deals. This is a total shame

Why should wenger waste money ? The current squad is ok and has the required depth. 6:3 , 6:0 , 5:1 ,

…. because without the tweet from Francois Piraux no Arsenal fans would have guessed Wenger would be inquiring about potential signings while in Brazil. lol

Wait, I can feel another bout of shock coming on 😀

Get back to sleep guys. It’s only June. Wenger doesn’t do transfers til 30 Aug. By then, all the good ones are taken. What’s left behind on the shelf are the lousy ones. AW will procrastinate and Arsenal will be made to suffer in humiliation. Groundhog Day every transfer window.
