[Teams] Koscielny & Giroud Left OUT Of France Team To Face Honduras

By on June 15, 2014

Arsenal duo Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud have been left out of the France starting eleven for tonight’s game with Honduras.

Both players have featured in the warm up games heading in to the World Cup but Didier Deschamps has opted to leave the pair out of tonight’s Group E opener.

It’s believed that Koscielny has been left out as a precaution as he’s been suffering from some discomfort in his ankle, while Giroud has also been carrying a slight knock in recent days.

It means that Varane will partner Sakho at the back while Griezmann will support Benzema up front. Here’s the team:

Lloris; Debuchy, Varane, Sakho, Evra; Pogba, Cabaye, Matuidi; Griezmann, Benzema, Valbuena
