“If Arsenal Want Him, That’s Where He Will Go”

By on March 24, 2014

It appears if Arsenal want to buy Loic Remy this summer, then the striker will jump at the chance of moving to the Emirates Stadium.

Remy is currently enjoying himself on loan at Newcastle from Queens Park Rangers, with the France striker scoring 13 goals in 23 games so far this season.

The 27-year-old has been strongly linked with Arsenal in the past while Tottenham have also been credited with an interest in recent months.

However, there’s only one place Remy will be going if he has the choice and that’s the Emirates, with a ‘source’ close to the player telling the newspapers that he will jump at the chance of joining Arsenal as he’s keen to follow in the foot-steps of Gunners legend Thierry Henry.

“If Arsenal want him that’s where he will go,”

“Where else would a big fan of Thierry Henry want to go?[Source: Express]

QPR will no doubt want Remy back in their ranks if they secure promotion back to the Premier League this season, while Newcastle are desperate to try and turn their loan into a permanent move.

However, it’s been reported that Remy could have a buy-out clause of around £8m this summer, which would represent an absolute bargain if true, and I’d be keen for Arsene Wenger to give him some serious consideration this summer.

It’s obvious we need reinforcements in attack and not only has Remy proved he can score goals in the Premiership, but he’ll also offer us something different up front. He has plenty of pace, which is something that’s currently lacking in our squad, and he’s also able to play out wide if needed.

If we could get him for anything near £8m-£10m, AND we bring in another striker as well, then I’d love to see Remy fulfill his ambition of playing for The Arsenal.

Do you think Remy would be a good purchase?

my head is nearly gone now!!!remy is at best,an average player in a poor team….another man that will lay down when the chips are down…. we need winners in the team!i honestly, for the 1st time in my life think that wenger has to go if it has even crossed his mind if he thinks that remy will improve the team!i read 2day that arsenal is the most expensive team in the world to follow, more expensive than real madrid!!!!so i think we deserve a bit more than remy.break the bank for draxler and costa, sell giroud and podolski because they dont work hard enough for the team and with the money from there sales,a right back along with song back from barca…and maybe bergkamp to help wenger out with some up to date tactics……..then i think were going places

I quite support your notion but hell no to Song. I love him generally, especially, his abilities, skills and dodgedness but his swollen head that brought out arrongance is my personal problem with him.
Henry, Bergkamp, Luberng and co achieved alot for many season yet they remained calm in their heads compared to a season achievement of Song which misled him.
Wenger really needs helpmate in the tactical and medical departments.

Another French Star, although he is better than Giroud but by no means is he a big name and after so many disappointments fans will want a world class striker that can match the likes of Aguero Suarez in PL.

    Costa, Cavani, Falcao Martinez kinda

You guys seem to be so stupid at times..can u tell me d last average player to score 13 goals in d premier league?…and some of them against big teams(unlike giroud)..for me I think what wenger has to do is sell giroud, buy remy, griezman, benteke, lars bender, extend sanga’s contract and den buy a gud right back…with those signings,we are gud to go..and its not overly costly!

Mr. Drax, I don’t think you’re a cultured GOONER with our DNA! How come would you be calling your mates with such wrong name in “stupidity”? If you’ll claim to be cultured GOONER.

To your comment, what else would Sagna offer AFC with his present forms. He has lost his positioning, couldn’t dribble and without a good cross from the flank.
Would you compare him with Chelsea, Man. C, Barca, Real Madrid RFB even with Rafael or Smalling of Man. U? So, let him go back to Ligue 1.
