Team News: Wenger Confirms Cazorla Will Miss Liverpool Game

By on February 14, 2014

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been holding his pre-match press conference on Friday morning ahead of our FA Cup clash with Liverpool on Sunday.

Unfortunately the boss has revealed that attacker Santi Cazorla will miss the game after being struck down by illness and is still recovering in bed.

It truly amazes me how many Arsenal players seem to get ill. We had a number of players pick up a bug on the eve of the Manchester United game at Old Trafford earlier in the season and that was followed by at least another three occasions where players have missed games due to illness.

Anyway, Mathieu Flamini is back after completing his three-match suspension and he’s a dead-cert to start in midfield. Jack Wilshere looked well off the pace against Man Utd and Mikel Arteta could also do with a rest.

The newspapers reported this morning that Wenger would make up to six changes for the game, but the boss says he hasn’t decided what he’ll do yet.

Aaron Ramsey, Thomas Vermaelen, Kim Kallstrom, Theo Walcott and Abou Diaby all still remain out through injury.

Why hasn’t wenger used varmaleen in midfield just like chelsea use David Luiz, he scores goals ,, despite hia mistakes last season his top player.
Arsenal just wasting wages for players on bench.
Why podoskl always on bench , l hear he’s on 90k.
Giroud is an average striker. He managed to score goals because walcot, ramsey & ozil silver plate assist.

    That’s because he is injured.

If wenger doesn’t rate these players surely , he should have signed players in January.
Its really worrying that without walcot & Ramsey , the team is a shadow of itself.
I was not surprised about liverpool game. I saw it coming, a testimony to this is Southampton game if they had strikers like liverpool, it would have been over in first half.
Always pissed off Rosicky plays well ,everytime on bench or substituted.
