Reports: Arsenal Table Fresh £42m Offer For Suarez, Striker Keen On Move
Some interesting reports have emerged tonight Gooners that claim Arsenal have submitted a fresh offer for Luis Suarez worth a total of £42m.
We brought you news this morning that claimed a new bid was in the pipeline and it seems it’s now come to fruition with both the Daily Mail and Goal reporting that we’ve tabled a bid worth £35m up front with a further £7m in add ons.
It’s an intriguing offer, if true, as it would fail to match the straight £40m offer that would trigger the much talked about clause in Suarez’s contract. The Uruguayan’s agent claims a £40m offer would act as a release clause whereas Liverpool insist it only means they have to inform the striker a formal bid of that amount has been submitted, so the Reds are under no obligation to do anything other than accept or reject our £35m plus add ons bid.
Our previous offers of £30m and £35 (including add ons) have been rejected out of hand by Liverpool and I wouldn’t be surprised if this latest bid is dismissed as well. It seem nothing other than a straight £40m cash offer is going to be taken seriously and even then, it might not be enough to land the 26-year-old.
The Mail claim Arsene Wenger has been given encouragement from the Suarez camp that he’s keen on a move to north London, which explains why he’s ditched his pursuit of Higuain and focussed on trying to land the former Ajax man.
Arsenal fans remain split over the whole Suarez situation. Some feel spending £40m+ on a controversial player who will bring with him a lot of excess baggage isn’t worth it and feel we should concentrate our efforts on Gonzalo Higuain. While others point to the fact Suarez is proven in the Premier League and is clearly a world class talent.
With Higuain looking set for a move to Napoli, it looks like Wenger might be hedging his bets that he can land Suarez. It’s a risky game and god help him if it fails to come off and we miss out on both.

It’s quite funny to see fans who have probably been chiding for years finally forget all his foibles and beg their manager to sign him.

I’m sick and tired of all this rumours. Arsene Wenger should be more serious and go straight to land a player if he really mean business and want to spend money. I hope his stupidity won’t cost Arsenal further trophyless season cuz it seems he already missed out on Higuain who is now heading to Napoli. What if Suarez deal didn’t materialized too? Other clubs are busy signing players while Arsene keep doing nonsense

Go straight and sign player rather than just keep making useless and stupid offers. Wenger stop being stingy and spend money

I do believe we put this bid in, its obvious Wenger wants Suarez, but I just can’t see it happening for one reason. Why would Liverpool sell to us? Why would they help make us so strong that its ends any hopes they have of Champions League football for years to come? If it happens, it will be wonderful. But are Liverpool ran so ineptly they would sanction this? I just don’t think so, its like a drowning man holding his own head under the water!

4get abt Suarez n go 4 Higuain or any of Lewandowski, Jackson Martinez, Burak Yimaz, Edin Dzeko or Kiessling. Save our cash n sign players in oda areas lyk DMF, CB, GK and mayb 1 more play maker or skillful winger and we’ll b gud 2 go.

Not a cat in hells chance. there is no release clause Suarez agent is a lying little tosser. It would take £55M to get him, as that’s what it would cost to replace him and as there are no others available as I said forget it.

Why would Suarez want to go to arsenal yours av won nothing in god no’s how long, when he can go to the very top r. Madrid, bayern , barca, and be winning leagues and champions leagues instead of fighting for 3rd or 4th place maybe a cup if yous are lucky , most arsenal fans need to wake up and smell the coffee and stop letting tha brilliant board you’d av got lie to years every season ! Don’t years ever learn just look back to previous summer transfers , £17 mill is the most yous av spent on a player at once , do years think wengers is going to spend 45 – 55 mill on 1 player! THEY ARE DOING IT TO RELIEVE PRESSURE BCOZ THEVE BOUGHT NO 1.
