With La Liga not kicking off until 29 August, Valencia have played only three preseason fixtures. They defeated Cardiff City 2-nil and then lost to David VillaManchester United three days ago, 2-nil at Old Trafford. Valencia have once again fought off interest in David Villa from Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Manchester United. Furthermore, the return of former club president, Vicente Soriano, with his group of investors, has supporters excited that Valencia can get back to a top 4 finish, such as they had in 2005-06 and 2006-07, and its attendant Champions League place.

After hitting their nadir in 2007-08 with a 10th place finish and a goal differential of -14, they clawed their way back up the table to a respectable 6th and a spot in the Europa League Qualifiers where they will play Stabæk away on 20 August and the return leg a week later. Despite recent results, Valencia are one of Spain’s biggest clubs, surpassed in support by only Real Madrid and Barcelona. They now begin their final season in the Estadio de Mestalla as they prepare to move to their new 75,000-capacity home, the Nou Mestalla in August 2010.

Wenger has said that he would wait until the preseason ended before assessing our biggest weaknesses and where exactly he would concentrate his efforts in the transfer market. This only makes sense and while we all see the beginning of the season as a kind of transfer deadline, the true deadline is August 30 and Wenger will wait until the very last hour if necessary to secure a transfer.

The original streams were all taken down just after the kickoff. I replaced them by the 10th minute with working streams. If they are down, just check back in a few minutes. The streams do not originate here so I have no control, neither do their originators, about them being taken down.

Again, if the originally posted streams go down for whatever reason, check back in a few minutes for new links. That kind of stuff is beyond my control and I do my best to point other Arsenal supporters to the best streams so they can watch the team.
