Ozil & Gibbs Start: My Arsenal Starting Line-Up To Face Tottenham
It’s the big one this weekend as Arsenal head to Sh*te Hart Lane to take on Tottenham on Saturday afternoon. This is the side I’d like to see Arsene Wenger go with:
It seems Ospina has the No.1 shirt for now and although I still think Szczesny is the man for the job long-term, there’s no denying the Colombian has looked assured since he’s come in, so we need to stick with the man that’s in form.
There’s a solid argument to suggest we should play the same eleven that thrashed Aston Villa last weekend but I’d like to see Gibbs come back in. Monreal has done extremely well in recent weeks but I still think Gibbsy is the better left-back overall and offers us more.
Bellerin certainly deserves to keep his place and there’s no chance we should hand Gabriel his debut away at Spurs, so Per and Kos will be the two cetnre-backs.
For me, Coquelin is miles ahead of Flamini for the defensive midfield role and although Ramsey is yet to hit the heights of last season, he’s still an important part of the midfield.
Cazorla has been nothing short of sensational of late so he should keep his place in the middle. He’d be the first name on the team sheet.
Sanchez has been ruled out unfortunately so Ozil and Walcott will most likely keep there places on the wings. Welbeck is back in contention but I’d stick with the same front three as last week with Giroud spearheading the attack.
So this is how I’d line-up:
With Sanchez, Wilshere, The Ox, Arteta and Debuchy all injured, Arsene doesn’t really have too many decisions to make. I’d go with Gibbs but I wouldn’t blame the boss for sticking with Monreal at left-back and naming an unchanged side with Welbeck and Rosicky on the bench.
Either way, whatever team we put out let’s hope we have enough to bring home the three points! COYG!!
What side would you select for the game?
