Arsenal Ace Reveals Talks With Midfielder Over Possible Arsenal Move
Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker has revealed that he and Mesut Ozil have held talks with Sami Khedira to try and persuade their compatriot to join them at Arsenal.
Khedira was strongly linked with a move to the Emirates in the summer and many speculated at the time that our German contingent could play a key role in luring the midfielder to North London.
It seems those rumours had some foundation as speaking at a Q&A session on Wednesday night, Mertesacker confirmed that he and Ozil have already spoken to Khedira to see if he’d like to join them at Arsenal.
Well-known Twitter user and Arsenal fan, @DarrenArsenal1, was one of those lucky enough to be at the ticketed event last night and kept his followers up-to-date:
Per "I'm up to more quality Germans to the club, Ozil and I spoke with Khedira a few time to join Arsenal. His contract is up next summer"

With little over six months remaining on his deal at Real Madrid, speculation has intensified that Khedira could be on his way out of the Bernabeu in June and it seems our German lads are doing their best to persuade him to snub interest from the likes of Bayern, Man Utd and Chelsea to join the Gunners.
Fingers crossed they are successful as Khedira would be an excellent signing, although ideally we’d try and get a deal done with Madrid in January as we desperately need a dominant midfielder this winter.
