2014 Emirates Cup Opponents Revealed + FA Cup Parade Plans
Arsenal have confirmed the line-up for this summers Emirates Cup with Monaco, Benfica and Valencia all set to take part in our pre-season event.
The annual two-day cup competition will take place on the weekend of Saturday August 2nd, which should be just before the start of the 2014/15 Premier League season.
Big-spending Ligue 1 challengers Monaco will be joined by Europa League finalists Benfica and Valencia in coming to the Emirates, with the games kicking off at 2pm and 4.20pm over the two days.
Arsenal’s first opponents will be Benfica on the Saturday at 4.20pm while we round-off the cup by taking on Monaco on the Sunday, again kicking off at 4.20pm:
Saturday, August 2, 2014
Valencia CF v AS Monaco – 2pm kick-off
Arsenal v SL Benfica – 4.20pm kick-off
Sunday, August 3, 2014
SL Benfica v Valencia CF – 2pm kick-off
Arsenal v AS Monaco – 4.20pm kick-off
Ticket information will be announced on Tuesday, and I’ll certainly be going along and hopefully we’ll get a sight of some new signings!
The club have also revealed plans to hold a bus parade should we beat Hull in the FA Cup final later this month.
The parade will take place on the Sunday, 18, starting and finishing at the Emirates Stadium but exact details such as time and route are yet to be revealed.
