Wenger Confirms Set Back As Aaron Ramsey Ruled Out For Up To 6 Weeks
As if dropping two points tonight wasn’t bad enough, it looks like Aaron Ramsey is now set to be out for between 4-6 weeks.
Arsene Wenger confirmed in his post-match press conference that the midfielder has suffered a set back to his thigh muscle and while the boss refused to put a timescale on it, various journalists are reporting that he will miss up to 6 weeks.
It’s a devastating blow and leaves us extremely short of options in midfield as Mathieu Flamini is now going to be suspended for three games following his sending off tonight, while Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky are currently sidelined with knocks.
Mikel Arteta looked rusty tonight and The Oxe is also not 100% fit after five months out, so we’re not going to be on top form in the centre of the park for the next few weeks. Which is certainly not what we need with some huge fixtures coming up.
Hey ho, at least we’re still top and who knows, Wenger might bring us a surprise before Friday’s deadline.
Some bad news for Arsenal. Told Ramsey has been ruled out for 4-6 weeks with a tendon problem.

Can confirm that I too have heard Aaron Ramsey will miss up to 6 weeks with a thigh problem. Will seek to clear up in press conference.

AW: "Ramsey is out for longer than we expected. He had a little setback in training. The same muscle."
