Arsenal eye move to sign RB Leipzig’s Antonio Nusa

By on October 14, 2026

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing RB Leipzig forward Antonio Nusa, as per Football Insider.

After being impressed by the 21-year-old’s performances for Club Brugge, the German side decided to purchase him a couple of years ago. Initially, he featured as a rotational option at Red Bull Arena before showing glimpses of his qualities last term.

However, Nusa has taken his game to another level this season, scoring four goals and registering three assists in seven appearances across all competitions.

Having proven his worth in club football, the youngster has secured his place in the Norwegian national team. He even helped his country reach the World Cup quarter-final this summer.

Now, Football Insider state that Arsenal are considering signing Nusa in the upcoming transfer window, with the Gunners holding a long-standing interest in him.

Martin Odegaard is the Norway national team’s captain and could play a key role in persuading his compatriot to move to the Emirates Stadium.

With the player’s existing deal set to run until 2029, Leipzig aren’t in any rush to sell Nusa, valued at around £38m by Transfermarkt, and they usually play hardball to let their big assets leave.

Nusa to Arsenal

The report state that Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur previously came close to signing him from Club Brugge, but a deal eventually fell through as he couldn’t pass the medical.

Nusa is a technically gifted right-footed left-winger. He is quick, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, is efficient in finishing off his chances, and works hard without possession.

Despite selling Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard this summer, Arsenal only signed Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge. So, Mikel Arteta has used Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke on the left flank this season to support Tzolis.

Nusa is a talented player and possesses the potential to reach the top. Therefore, he might be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal should they purchase him.

However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually make a concrete approach to secure his services in January or next summer.

Meanwhile, following the Lille assignment in the Champions League, Arsenal are set to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League next weekend.
