“Who Would Not Like To Go To Arsenal?”
Former Arsenal striker Eduardo has admitted he would love to return to the Emirates and revealed he has kept in touch with Arsene Wenger since he left the club.
The Croatian international moved to Arsenal from Dinamo Zagreb in 2007 and after a promising start to life in England, his career was derailed by a sickening leg break against Birmingham in February 2008.
He eventually left the club to join Shakhtar Donetsk in 2010 but newspaper reports have suggested he could be on the move again this month with Arsenal suggested as a possible destination, and Eduardo has opened the door to a potential return to north London. He said:
“I do not know anything about it, other than what I read in the media.
“But of course, who would not like to go to Arsenal? Everybody knows that when I left, everything was done in a friendly manner.
“We are still friends and after leaving I spoke several times with Arsene Wenger. I still have many friends in London but of course this does not mean that I will come back to Arsenal.”

I was a huge Eduardo fan when he was a Gooner. He was truly one of the best finishers I’ve ever seen but unfortunately he never returned the same player after his broken leg.
He had lost a yard of pace and that little spark seemed to have disappeared. Things haven’t really worked out for him in Ukraine either, where he’s made just 67 league appearances in four years – scoring 18 goals.
Eduardo is now 30 and as nice as it sounds for him to make a heroic return and fire us to the title, I don’t think there’s any chance he’ll rejoin Arsenal this month.
