Arsenal remain keen on signing Endrick from Real Madrid

Arsenal remain keen on signing Brazilian international centre-forward Endrick from Real Madrid in January, according to TEAMtalk.

After struggling for game time at the start of the 2025-26 campaign, Endrick was sent on loan to Ligue 1 side Lyon, where he showed exceptional goalscoring prowess.

While with the seven-time French champions, he netted 16 goals in 21 games, performances that earned him a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s 26-man squad for the recently concluded FIFA World Cup.

Endrick also drew significant interest from several clubs, including Arsenal, with reports in May via Arsenal Station revealing that Arsenal were preparing an audacious formal offer to sign the youngster.

Despite the keen interest, he opted to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu to prove himself and fight for a spot under new manager Jose Mourinho.

However, things have not gone to plan for the former Palmeiras sensation, who has now gone behind the pecking order of the manager’s attacking options.

So far this season, he has only been on the pitch for four minutes across all competitions, including LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League, fuelling rumours the centre-forward could depart Madrid in search of regular playing time.

Now, according to TEAMtalk, Endrick’s entourage are set to meet with Madrid hierarchy over his situation in the Spanish capital.

Endrick to Arsenal

Having made a late enquiry about Endrick in the summer, the report adds that the Gunners remain keen on signing him in January, as communication with the Brazilian’s camp remains open.

While there is optimism, the Brazil international could be available in 2027 and potentially in January; Arsenal will have to battle with Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Fulham for the attacking ace in the summer, TEAMtalk adds.

Arsenal were heavily tipped to reinforce their much scrutinised attack in the recently concluded summer transfer window.

Despite signing Christos Tzolis, who has impressed so far, there was an expectation that at least one more attacker would be added due to the departures of Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus.

They were reportedly linked with Vinicius Jr and Julian Alvarez, but neither deal materialised, as both players remained at their respective clubs.

Now, after five games played this season, it is evident that Mikel Arteta clearly needs additional firepower upfront, especially due to Viktor Gyokeres’s struggles.

Although Endrick, who will likely cost well over his £34m Transfermarkt valuation, is yet to score this season, his performances for Lyon, where he had more playing time, prove he could offer the manager not only a potent attacking weapon but a dynamic one should a deal be agreed.
