Arsenal are reportedly prepared to spend big money to sign Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, as per Italian outlet Tutto Sport.

After winning the Premier League title last campaign, the Gunners have signed Illan Meslier, Christos Tzolis and Bruno Guimaraes to refresh the squad and mount another title charge this season.

Moreover, following William Saliba and Jurrien Timber’s recent injury problems, the North London club have decided to purchase Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa.

Now, Tutto Sport report that despite already signing Tzolis, Arsenal want to add more firepower to the attack before the end of this transfer window.

After failing to buy Julian Alvarez and Vinicius Junior, the Gunners are keen on signing Yildiz as Mikel Arteta loves the Turkish international very much.

Having recently tied the 21-year-old down to a new long-term contract until 2030, Juventus don’t want to part ways with him and are planning to rebuild the squad around him.

However, the report state that Arsenal are prepared to spend around €100m[£86m] to persuade the Bianconeri to cash in on him. Amid their financial difficulties, the Italian giants might struggle to reject the bid if they receive it.

Yildiz to Arsenal

Yildiz is a technically gifted right-footed left-winger but can provide cover centrally if needed. He is quick, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas and has the ability to score excellent goals from distance.

Moreover, the youngster can create opportunities for fellow attackers and works hard without possession. Although Juventus displayed inconsistent performances last term, Yildiz showcased his qualities, making 20 goal contributions across all competitions.

Having proven his worth in Serie A, he has established himself as an undisputed starter in the Turkiye national team’s starting line-up.

He is a top-class talent and possesses the potential to become one of the best forwards in the world in future. So, he might be a great coup for Arsenal should they purchase him.

However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually manage to lure him to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Meanwhile, apart from Tzolis, Arsenal currently have Gabriel Martinelli as the option to deploy on the left flank. But he has entered the final year of his current contract.
