Arsenal preparing formal offer to sign Antonio Nusa
Arsenal are preparing a formal offer to sign highly rated Norwegian winger Antonio Nusa from RB Leipzig this summer, according to CaughtOffside.
Although Yan Diomande drew much of the spotlight as RB Leipzig finished third in the Bundesliga and secured their return to the UEFA Champions League, Nusa was just as influential to the club’s achievements.
Competing in only his second Bundesliga campaign, the former Club Brugge star produced four goals and three assists while playing a key part in Leipzig securing a place in next season’s Champions League after missing out on qualification during the 2025/26 season.
His displays earned him a place in Ståle Solbakken’s 26-man Norway squad for the World Cup, where he most notably netted a superb goal against Diomande’s Ivory Coast in the round of 16.
Throughout the tournament, he was a livewire whenever called upon and was equally crucial to helping the Løvene reach the quarter-finals, their best finish in the competition since reaching the round of 16 in 1938 and 1998.
Now, according to CaughtOffside, Arsenal are preparing to submit a formal £34m offer to Leipzig for the potential transfer of Nusa to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Exciting forward
The 21-year-old’s performances at the World Cup piqued the Gunners’ interest, and the club have now earmarked him as a potential long-term left-wing option, according to the report.
However, Arsenal’s proposed initial formal offer could fall short of Leipzig’s valuation, as CaughtOffside, citing Get German Football News, reports that the German club are expected to demand at least £51m for Nusa, who is also of keen interest to Newcastle United and Juventus.
Although questions remain over his goalscoring record, having yet to reach five league goals in a single top-flight campaign, Nusa compensates with outstanding ability in one-versus-one situations, easing concerns about whether he could adapt to the physical demands of the Premier League.
The Norwegian averages 3.0 successful dribbles per 90 minutes, the third-highest figure in the Bundesliga, trailing only Yan Diomande of RB Leipzig (4.3) and Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab of Eintracht Frankfurt (3.1).
He also contributes outstandingly off the ball, winning an average of 7.21 duels per match this season, a quality that further strengthens his suitability to Mikel Arteta’s system.
