Arsenal preparing to submit £69m formal offer to sign Bradley Barcola
Arsenal are preparing to submit an audacious formal offer to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, according to CaughtOffside.
The Frenchman, who came off the bench to score in France’s opening World Cup victory over Senegal, joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 and has since played a part in consecutive Champions League triumphs for the Parisian side, including the most recent final against Arsenal last month, alongside three successive Ligue 1 titles.
However, he averaged just over an hour per match in the 2025/26 campaign, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s outstanding form making him the preferred choice on the left side of Luis Enrique’s attack.
Still, he recorded 13 goals and 7 assists, underscoring the quality he brings despite limited starting opportunities.
Now, according to CaughtOffside, Arsenal have expressed ‘serious interest’ in signing Barcola this summer as Nikel Arteta looks to add more pace, dynamism and directness to his attack.
The Gunners are looking to add an attacker who can compete with Gabriel Martinelli and ease the attacking responsibilities on Bukayo Saka, and the 23-year-old has been identified as a ‘perfect fit’ for that role, according to the report.
Barcola to Arsenal
Arsenal are now accelerating their efforts to thrash out the deal, with the report adding that the Premier League champions are preparing to submit a £69m formal offer for the youngster, although PSG values the forward at over £86m.
However, the North London giants face strong competition from Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and several other European clubs in the race for the France international, CaughtOffside adds.
At 0.53 goals per 90 minutes, Barcola ranks in the 93rd percentile among wingers in Ligue 1, equating to approximately one goal every two matches on average.
His efficiency in front of goal is also reflected in his shooting data, with 1.54 shots on target per 90 minutes, placing him in the 92nd percentile in that metric.
Barcola’s game is built around thriving in one-on-one situations, stretching defensive lines, and posing a genuine threat in transition – qualities that would make him a natural fit for Arteta’s system.
With other clubs showing keen interest, Arsenal will need to act swiftly to sign the winger to avoid being trumped by other free-spending rivals.
