Arsenal offered chance to sign Man Utd’s Marcus Rashford
Arsenal have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, as per TEAMtalk.
After coming through the Red Devils’ youth system, the 28-year-old established himself as a talismanic figure, helping his side win the Europa League and a few domestic cup competitions.
However, after falling out with Man Utd’s former manager Ruben Amorim, he was allowed to leave on loan. He initially joined Aston Villa in January 2025 and guided them to reach the Champions League quarter-final before losing to eventual champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Rashford decided not to join Unai Emery’s side permanently and signed for Barcelona last summer. He enjoyed a promising campaign with the Catalan giants, although he featured as a rotational option.
In 26 starts across all competitions, the Englishman scored 14 goals and registered 11 assists. Moreover, he helped his side win a La Liga title and Supercopa de España last term.
After rejuvenating his career at Camp Nou, Rashford has regained his place in the England national team and is set to play a key role for his country in this World Cup.
Still, Barcelona have decided not to sign him permanently by triggering his £26m release clause. Now, TEAMtalk claim that Man Utd are upset with the Blaugrana as they don’t want to keep the forward due to his enormous wages.
So, the Red Devils have asked intermediaries to find a new destination for him and are even willing to let Rashford join a Premier League rival.
Rashford to Arsenal
The Gunners have been offered the chance to sign Rashford, and alongside them, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid, Saudi Arabian clubs, and Inter Miami have also been made aware of the player’s availability.
However, the report state that no clubs have made a concrete approach to finalise the operation and the winger still wants to join Barcelona.
Rashford is comfortable playing anywhere across the frontline, and Arsenal are said to be planning to sign a new left-winger following Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard’s inconsistent performances last term.
Rashford is an experienced player and is currently at the prime stage of his career. So, he might be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal should they eventually opt to secure his service.
