Arsenal have reportedly made contact to sign AFC Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi, as per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Cherries have continued to produce top-class talents in recent years. Despite cashing in on Dean Huijsen, Ilya Zabarnyi, and Milos Kerkez last summer, while Antoine Semenyo joined Manchester City in the winter transfer window, Bournemouth still enjoyed a stellar campaign under Andoni Iraola’s guidance this season.

They have qualified for next season’s Europa League after finishing in the Premier League’s top six, securing the club’s first-ever qualification for European competition.

Now, several of the Cherries stars have once again started attracting attention from big clubs around Europe. After letting Semenyo leave, Bournemouth decided to replace the Ghanaian with Rayan.

The Brazilian displayed promising performances in the Premier League during the second half of this season. As a result, he has placed himself on the radar of a few top clubs.

Moreover, Manchester United have registered their interest in Tyler Adams and Alex Scott, while Marcos Senesi is set to join Tottenham Hotspur for free this summer.

Now, on X, Romano states that Kroupi has also been a subject of interest, having displayed impressive performances this season, scoring 13 Premier League goals.

Kroupi to Arsenal

He scored against Arsenal in both league games, and the Gunners have identified him as a serious option to strengthen the attacking department. They have even made contact to learn about the details of signing him.

Moreover, the journalist claims that Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City have also called to be informed about his availability. Bayern Munich even held talks over this deal in April.

Romano wrote:

“Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Manchester City have all called recently to be informed on Eli Junior Kroupi. FC Bayern did the same in April, all clubs waiting for Bournemouth to indicate price.”

The 19-year-old joined Bournemouth from Lorient last summer and still has a contract until 2030. So, they aren’t in any rush to sell him, with the player valued at around £35m by Transfermarkt.

With Gabriel Jesus linked with a move away, Kroupi would be a great coup for Arsenal should they purchase him, as he is considered one of the best young strikers in the Premier League.

However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually manage to secure his service in this summer transfer window.
