Arsenal have held talks over the possible transfer of highly rated Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Touré to the Emirates Stadium next summer, according to Fussballdaten.
Touré’s move to Hoffenheim was finalised on deadline day of the 2024/25 winter transfer window, after which he went on to contribute three assists in 13 outings — including seven starts — during his first spell in Germany, helping the team steer clear of relegation.
Now firmly established as a regular starter under Christian Ilzer, the 20-year-old opened his goal account for Die Kraichgauer in a 3–0 away win against St Pauli on Matchday 7 of the 2025/26 season.
Since then, he has produced 13 goal contributions across all competitions and currently ranks fifth in the Bundesliga for both sprints and crosses from open play after 28 matches.
According to Fussballdaten, Touré’s versatility to play across both flanks and his speed have piqued the interest of several clubs, particularly in the Premier League.
Among the clubs looking to sign Touré is Arsenal, according to the report, which claims that the North London club are looking to add depth and technical quality to their attack and have earmarked the 20-year-old as a viable option.
Trossard replacement?
It appears the Gunners are accelerating their efforts to secure his signature, as the report adds that the Premier League leaders have already held initial talks about his potential transfer to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.
With a contract at the PreZero Arena that runs until 2029, Hoffenheim have placed a £47-£52m valuation on the Ivorian amid interest from Arsenal, although it’s expected to drop to £43m during negotiations, according to the report.
However, Mikel Arteta’s side will face stern competition from several clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Bayern Munich, in the race for Touré, Fussballdaten adds.
Speculations in recent weeks have linked Leandro Trossard with a possible departure, especially due to his recent form, where he has now gone 19 games without finding the net.
Should the Belgian depart, Touré would be a viable replacement not just for his creativity or attacking threat but also for his relentless off-ball work rate.
