Arsenal now eyeing move for Hoffenheim forward Bazoumana Touré
Arsenal are plotting a swoop to sign highly rated Hoffenheim left winger Bazoumana Touré, according to Fussballdaten.
Touré first caught attention in Sweden with Hammarby IF, where he impressed on the flanks, recording nine goals and four assists in 23 matches. Before his move to Europe, the left-footed forward came through at ASEC Mimosas, playing a key part in the Ivorian club’s domestic double during the 2022/23 season.
His switch to Hoffenheim was completed on deadline day of the 2024/25 winter transfer window, and he went on to provide three assists in 13 appearances, including seven starts, in his first half-season in Germany, helping the side avoid relegation danger.
Now a regular under Christian Ilzer, he opened his scoring account for Die Kraichgauer in a 3–0 away victory over St Pauli on Matchday 7 of the 2025/26 campaign. Since then, he has delivered 12 goal contributions across all competitions and currently sits second in the Bundesliga for both sprints and crosses from open play after 27 matches.
Now, according to Fussballdaten, several top European clubs, including Arsenal, are closely watching Bazoumana following his displays in the Bundesliga and in the recently concluded African Cup of Nations.
Arsenal in fierce battle to sign Toure
The report adds that the North Londoners are aggressively pursuing a deal for the 20-year-old ahead of his possible transfer to the Emirates Stadium next summer.
Having rejected all approaches last summer, it appears Hoffenheim could be open to his departure this summer, as Fussballdaten claims that the German club have placed a valuation between £43 and £47m for the Ivorian, with the Gunners now showing interest.
However, Arsenal will have to battle several clubs, including Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Bournemouth, Everton, and Leeds United, for Bazoumana’s signature next summer, according to the report.
Mikel Arteta currently has Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, and the versatile Noni Madueke as his options on the left wing.
Still, reports have been swirling in recent weeks suggesting Martinelli or Trossard could depart the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season.
Should any of the duo depart, Bazoumana would be a good option to come in, as he possesses immense physicality, speed, creativity, and a relentless work rate that aligns with Mikel Arteta’s style of play.
