Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing AC Milan forward Christian Pulisic, as per a recent report.

After joining Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund, the 27-year-old won one Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup. However, his time at Stamford Bridge is not considered a success.

Since moving to San Siro Stadium back in 2023, the USA international has shown glimpses of his qualities, winning the Supercoppa Italiana last campaign.

He made more than 25 goal contributions over the last two seasons and has also showcased his productivity this season. In 16 starts across all competitions, he has netted 10 goals and registered two assists.

Now, as per a recent report (via TEAMtalk), with Pulisic’s existing deal set to expire at the end of next season, Milan are willing to hand him a fresh term.

However, they have paused negotiations over this deal with the player’s representatives, as Arsenal have registered their interest in signing him after being impressed by his recent eye-catching performances.

The Gunners are preparing to launch a formal proposal, and the Rossoneri are ready to cash-in on him for a fee of around £65m. Mikel Arteta’s side have the financial muscle to seal the deal, with the player open to returning to the Premier League.

Pulisic to Arsenal

However, TEAMtalk report that Tottenham are showing a strong interest in signing Pulisic, while Manchester United and Liverpool have been made aware that the player might leave this year. So, Arsenal will have to overcome stiff competition to finalise the operation.

The American is a right-footed left-winger by trait but is also comfortable on the opposite side. Moreover, Massimiliano Allegri has been using him as a centre-forward this season.

Pulisic is a talented player and is currently at the prime stage of his career. Moreover, he is familiar with the Premier League’s physicality, having previously played for Chelsea.

So, he might turn out to be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal should they purchase him. However, Pulisic struggled with fitness problems during his time in England, and there is a question mark whether he possesses the necessary qualities to help Arsenal achieve their lofty ambitions.

Therefore, the North London club would be better off exploring other options to reinforce the left flank.
