Arsenal have the opportunity to move 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a win over Everton at the Emirates Stadium this evening.

We head into the game off the back of a rather fortunate 1-1 draw away to Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of our Champions League last-16 tie. Kai Havertz’s late penalty levelled things up putting us in the driving seat ahead of next weeks second leg.

However, the focus today is on the Premier League and we can put the pressure on Manchester City with a win over the Toffees in North London. We sit seven points clear of City having played a game more and can make the gap 10 points with a win ahead of their trip to West Ham later tonight.

Mikel Arteta has made some changes from the team that started on Wednesday but David Raya keeps his place between the sticks. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes also start once again with the duo continuing their fine partnership at the heart of Arsenal’s defence.

Jurries Timber continues at right-back but there is a change at left-back with Riccardo Calafiori coming in for Piero Hincapie.

Martin Zubimendi starts in the holding role while Declan Rice also starts once again in the middle of the park. Martin Odegaard remains out so Eberechi Eze keeps his place in the attacking midfield role.

Bukayo Saka didn’t have his best game in midweek but he keeps his place in the Arsenal eleven today. Noni Madueke made a real impact off the bench against Leverkusen so he deserves his call-up to the starting eleven.

Kai Havertz is also recalled as he replaces Viktor Gyokeres up front. Gabriel Jesus is on the bench along with Max Dowman but Leandro Trossard remains out while Christian Norgaard also isn’t in the squad.

These are the line-ups for the game:

Arsenal

Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori, Zubimendi, Rice, Eze, Saka, Madueke, Havertz.
