Arsenal track Inter Milan’s striker Pio Esposito

Arsenal are keeping close tabs on young forward Pio Esposito, as fresh reports suggest growing interest ahead of the next summer transfer window.
According to claims from Nicolo Schira, club officials recently watched the striker during a high profile Serie A meeting involving Inter Milan.
The scouting mission reportedly took place at the San Siro, where Inter faced Juventus in a tightly contested league fixture.
Such monitoring activity has naturally fuelled discussion, especially with Arsenal already planning early for squad improvements despite their strong league form and continued push at the top.
Esposito has steadily built attention across European football, with many observers praising his movement, calm finishing, and willingness to link play with team mates.
Inter stance could complicate any move
Despite external interest, Inter remain highly protective of the player and reportedly view him as an important part of their future planning and squad structure.
The Italian side are said to be working towards a new agreement that would extend his stay until 2031, underlining their belief in his growth.
This stance may present challenges for Arsenal, who would likely face firm resistance should they decide to test Inter’s resolve with a formal offer.
Even so, the London club’s admiration is described as genuine, indicating that Esposito’s progress is being tracked carefully rather than casually observed.
The striker’s numbers have also strengthened his reputation, with six goals and six assists recorded across all competitions during the current campaign.
Those contributions highlight both scoring ability and creative awareness, qualities Arsenal often value when considering forwards capable of fitting into flexible attacking systems.
Transfermarkt values the player at £30.4 million, a figure that reflects promise, age, and perceived development trajectory rather than established star status.
Arsenal’s attacking department has faced scrutiny at times, particularly following the arrival of Viktor Gyökeres, whose first season has delivered mixed outcomes.
While expectations were high after his summer transfer, consistent impact has proven difficult, leading to suggestions that added competition could benefit overall squad balance.
A younger option such as Esposito could therefore represent both immediate depth and future planning, aligning with Arsenal’s wider strategy of building sustainably.
