Arsenal Join Race for Dortmund Left-Back Svensson

Arsenal are among the clubs showing interest in Borussia Dortmund left-back Daniel Svensson ahead of the coming transfer window.

Reports from Germany suggest the Premier League side are monitoring the situation closely as they assess possible options.

According to BILD, Arsenal will face competition from Leeds United, who are also keen on securing the defender’s signature.

The 23-year-old has impressed with his steady displays in the Bundesliga, which has drawn attention from England.

Dortmund are believed to value Svensson at around £26 million, a figure that sits within reach for both interested clubs, as per the report.

Arsenal, in particular, have the financial strength to meet that asking price without much difficulty. However, questions remain over whether a move to north London would make sense for the Swedish defender at this point.

Arsenal Squad Depth Raises Questions

Arsenal are already well stocked in the left-back area, which could limit Svensson’s chances of regular action.
